Trailing Stop merupakan pembaruan stop order yang value-nya dapat diatur berdasarkan persentase tertentu via price aset terbaru di pasar. Strategi ini efektif melindungimu dari loss besar sampai breakeven point.

TS sendiri sifatnya lebih fleksibel dibandingkan stop lossi. TS dengan sendirinya memprediksi arah price FX dan sebenarnya tak perlu setup up manual seperti pada stop loss.

Cara Menentukan Trailing Stop

Setidaknya tersedia 5 cara untuk mengaplikasikan TS ini. Semua cara tersebut tak terlalu sulit meski bagi beberapa trader mengalami kesulitan di awal-awal. Akan tetapi, saat mulai belajar dan konsisten mempelajarinya, menguasai semua cara yang disediakan bukan lagi sebuah kendala.

  • Terapkan Swing Point

Memanfaatkan Trailing Stop bisa lewat swing point. Cara paling sederhana dikarenakan hampir seluruh trader dapat mengaplikasikannya secara mudah. Tak perlu risau, kamu tidak butuh indikator apa pun karena memang mengaplikasikan swing point tanpa ada indikator.

Intinya, kamu akan melanjutkan penggunaan TS ini pada market forex. Nanti TS sebaiknnya kamu geser waktu movement prince telah melakukan konfirmasi terhadap penerusan trend.

Terkait konteks ini, manfaatkan swing point dan perannya manaatkan sebagai turning point untuk berbagai gelombang koreksi. Biasanya, waktu pasar mengindikasikan downtrend signifikan, masih ada koreksi yang muncul pasca high price tak dapat lewat level high swing sebelumnya.

  • Andalkan MA

Menentukan TS bisa juga lewat indikator Moving Average. Indikaso yang pada dasarnya tidak ada perbedaan signifikan saat kamu memakai cara pertama. Cuma, metode mengaplikasikan MA memang cenderung lebih selektif dikarenakan hanya take swing point yang sedang menguji indicator line.

Dengan begitu, signal kontinu tren mudah lebih dikonfirmasi. Jenis ataupun parameter indikator MA dapat trader sesuaikan berdasarkan preferensinya. Telah banyak yang mengaplikasikan cara kedua dan hasilnya tak mengecewakan. Meskipun kenyataannya perlu pemahaman secara komprehensif seputar indikator MA.

  • Cek Sinyal SAR Parabolic

Cara menentukan Trailing Stop ketiga adalah via pengecekan SAR Parabolic signal. Sama dengan MA, SAR juga indikator yang dapat kamu andalkan dan penggunanya juga cukup banyak. Manfaatnya sudah banyak dirasakan, khususnya di waktu penentuan titik exit ataupun entry dikarenakan mudah menandainya lewat movement trend.

Tapi, tak banyak trader khususnya pemula yang paham bahwa titik SAR Parabolic nyatanya dapat kamu fungsikan juga dalam penentuan TS. Bagaimana cara mengaplikasikannya?

Kamu perlu memanfaatkan indicator signal dan jadikan acuan di waktu penentuan TS ideal. Dikarenakan titik Parabolic muncul pasar closing price, besar kemungkinan siyal bisa sebagai konfirmator penerusan tren untuk diandalkan, dengan catatan selama point SAR di posisi serupa dengan direction entry milikmu.

Waktu trend scenario price FX yang pergerakannya kencang, SAR dapat dijadikan seperti halnya MA. Waktu harga berhasil menyelesaikan correction lalu kembali menuju main trend, Parabolic point berpindah menuju posisi awal. Titik tersebut menjadi momenmu untuk menjalankan Trailing Stop. 

  • Manfaatkan ATR

Indikator lainnya untuk penggunaan TS yaitu Average True Range. Volatilitas indicator yang terbukti jelas dapat memberitahumu value movement price antar waktu. Apakah kamu trader fleksibel? Jika demikian dan kamu dapat entry ke seluruh kondisi market forex, indikator ini memang harus dimanfaatkan.

Kamu bisa menentukan TS secara benar lewat ATR. Lalu pertanyaannya, kenapa ATR bisa secara efektif saat penentuan TS? Sebenarnya aturan placing TS dapat berganti menyesuaikan price volatility.

Waktu price volatility tinggi, tak disarankan placing TS pada jarak terlalu sempit terhadap entry level. tapi, waktu price volatility-nya turun, kemungkinan Trailing Stop dapat terposisikan lebih dekat terhadap entry level.

Average True Range dapat menunjukkan ke trader tentang rekomendasi TS berdasarkan value-nya. Ibaratkan value ATR sekarang 0.0037. nanti kamu dapat mempertimbangkan jarak TS di angka 37 pips. Lalu di waktu value ATR naik ke 0.0100, tandanya tidak aman saat TS kamu biarkan berjarak 37 pips terhadap entry level.

Acuan tersebut dapat difungsikan untuk standar saat penentuan TS. Alasan yang menjadikan para trader ragu akan Trailing Stop yaitu risiko mengalami SL (Stop Loss) secara lebih cepat. Misalnya di waktu uptrend, price FX dapat terkoreksi sebelum menuju ke main trend.

Di waktu volatilitas high, range correction dapat lebih besar dibandingkan kondisi normal. Agar TS tak muncul di waktu harga FX terkoreksi, sebaiknya kamu manfaatkan ATR di dalam set up jarak TS berdasarkan volatility sekarang

Kemudian, waktu harga forex meneruskan tren ataupun kamu hendak mengunci cuan via pengaktifan TS, cek dulu value ATR sekarang. Saat ternyata tetap konsisten sama halnya waktu opening position, TS dapat kamu pindahkan berdasarkan jarak TS sebelumnya.

Tapi, jika yang muncul perubahan secara signifikan terhadap nilai ATR, pertimbangkan lagi jika kamu hendak setup jarak Trailing Stop berdasarkan kisaran value ATR paling baru.

Cara menentukan Trailing Stop pertama sampai keempat diaplikasikan secara manual. Shift Trailing Stop via cara-cara tersebut adalah tindakan reaktif yang kamu tentukan pasca munculnya indicator signal. Bisa juga pasca price FX menyelesaikan correction lalu kembali ke main trend.

  • Patokan Terhadap Risk Management

Penentuan TS lewat cara kelima bisa disebut sebagai cara paling sederhana dan mudah. Prinsip yang mesti dipahami tidak complicated. Tugasmu cukup memindahkan TS menuju tingkatan breakeven di waktu price telah menuju target cuan pertama.

Di waktu harga kontinu menuju uptrend ataupun target kedua, stop kerugian dapat kamu geser menuju target pertama. Ini menjadikan kamu dapat mengunci profit ataupun setidaknya mampu mengamankan fx position agar tidak rugi (saat breakeven) serta waktu harga berbalik arah secara tiba-tiba.

Itulah bagaimana cara menentukan Trailing Stop. Setidaknya 3 kategori yang tersedia yakni volatilitas, strategi, serta manajemen risiko. Bagi yang berpatokan pada strategy, kamu perlu cek konfirmasi trend continuity-nya.

Sementara waktu kamu ingin mengecek volatilitasnya, gunakan indikator ATR ataupun lainnya. Kamu tak perlu mengecek sinyal kontinuitas maupun volatilitas di saat mengacu ke risk management.

Alasannya karena metode tersebut sifatnya lebih defensif dan memprioritaskan protect pada risk lebih dari apa pun. Terbukti via tujuan metode tersebut memang menargetkan achievement breakeven sebagai the worst scenario.

Selain itu, Trailing Stop juga hanya work pada platform trading online. Artinya, waktu MT4 close serta tak dapat dijalankan, TS akan non aktif alias tak berfungsi.
